During the spring of 2025 I took a course called Digital Storytelling. This course focused on understanding how media is produced and its role in shaping society. I explored the impact of media on culture and communication while developing skills in media writing, editing, and production.

Beyond the Bases" is a documentary that shows the often overlooked world of NCAA Division III, focusing on the Hampden-Sydney College Baseball team. The film talks about the misconception that D3 athletics are less competitive while highlighting the Tigers' strong work ethic, talent, and commitment to the game.

The documentary also shows what it’s like to be on the team. The players are like brothers, always supporting each other and having each other’s backs. As one of the few remaining all-male colleges in the country, Hampden-Sydney fosters a strong sense of tradition, character, and brotherhood.

"Beyond the Bases" is a reminder that Division III programs deserve recognition. The Tigers show that greatness isn’t defined by division, but rather it’s built by the people who wear the uniform.
